Barbara was my first girlfriend. We met when so many of us were thrown together at the junior high school on Parrott Rd from a bunch of schools that couldn't handle the sixth grade class sizes. It was a confusing and difficult time for me, and her love and kindness helped me through some of those tough times. I've thought of her over the years, wondering what became of her. The last I recall was ages ago, maybe the late 70's when she was working at a veterinary place on Congers Rd. I think. I hope that wherever her energy has gone, that it's a better place.
