i always had a blast with ronnie during our school years and would some times run into him with his tow truck while we both worked in the auto business and i can honestly say i dont think i would have made it through boces with out him and the rest of our class what a great bunch of guys we had and so much fun to be around rip my brother and i'm sure we will meet again.
I can't say that Ron & the Marsico family were close friends, by the time we reached high school. But I am indebted to them, socially, as my family moved from NJ to West Nyack, in '65. They had kind of a quasi baseball field, adjacent to their home. And I played there almost every weekday, with Ron & Steve & Tom Martin & Louie Lafaciano & Joe Perrone, & numerous others. Mr. & Mrs. Marsico were always fun, he writing a column about me, as the Miracle Mets were winning the world, in '69. After playing, we'd hit the Natales' restaurant, at the corner of Klein Ave. & West Nyack Road. We were all 5th or 6th graders, but I didn't know anybody, & all of this really helped to get me to know the neighborhood. By high school, I was going to West Nyack Elementary, for baseball, with a different bunch of guys. But that first summer in West Nyack was fun, & the Marsico's helped make it that way. My sympathies to you, Steve, & to the rest of your family.
